Dibya Jyoti province is an offshoot of Pavithratma province Jagadalpur which comprises 16 houses in the dioceses of Balasore, Ranchi, jamshedpur, Dumka, Bhagalpur and changanacherry with 69 professed members at present.

In the flashback of Dibya Jyoti province, we see a heroic virtue of our mother province to raise it as a province for the better administration, development, and growth of our congregation. We recall with gratitude that the separation and growth of Dibya Jyoti province is the inspiration from the Almighty as the brainchild of mother Annie valiyavede, the provincial superior of Pavithratma province.

Though Pavithrathma province is the daughter of St.Thomas province chaganacherry, which was raised as a full-fledged province in the year 2003. Since the houses are spread in different states far from the provincialate Rev.mother Annie and her team took a bold step to separate the north-eastern part of its houses and to raise to the status of a region under the care and guidance of the mother province. The declaration and erection of the region were on 28th December 2009 and mother Elsa kizakeil was appointed as the first Regional Superior. As she completed her term mother Tessina was appointed as the second regional superior and mother Ritty was appointed as the third regional superior of the Dibya Jyoti region.

"In your steadfast love you led the people."

Seeing the sufficient growth of the region under the benevolent care and wise direction of our major superiors the region was raised to the status of the province on February 9th, 2019. The day marked the beginning of yet another era in the history of Dibya Jyoti province. The first provincial synaxis was held from 24th Feb. to 27th Feb.2019. Mother Ritty is elected as the provincial superior, mother Tessina the vicar provincial, Sr. Rose Malamel, Sr. Cicy, Sr. Jess Maria as the 2nd,3rd, 4th councilors respectively, surrendered themselves to the Eucharistic Lord to carry out the mission entrusted with them ." So long the Thy power has blessed me, sure it will still lead me on".

The annals of the province will be incomplete without the remembrance of the valuable prayers, contributions, support, and guidance made by the pioneers and our major superiors time to time for the development of Dibya Jyoti province. The year1969 was a milestone in the history of St.Thomas province Changanacherry because we the S.A.S.B got the first chance to extend our service in the Balasore diocese from Kerala through the instrumentality of Rev. Msgr. Jacob Vadekkevettil C.M. It was the great missionary zeal and zest of our pioneers to render our service to the remote areas of our country to fulfill the vision of our founder Venerable Thomas Kurialacherry that the Eucharistic Lord must be known, loved, and adored by all always and everywhere. We appreciate and thank our major superiors and pioneers of St. Thomas province chaganacherry for taking such an intrepid step at that time, in spite of numerous tales of woes arising from the encounters with the new culture, languages, climatic conditions, etc... We gratefully remember our dear pioneers whose sweat, wet the soil of Dibya Jyoti province.

With profound gratitude, we recall the love and affection of Rev msgr. Jacob vadekkevettil c.m who was the core inspiration and instrument to spread the tiny wings of S.A.B.S.in Odisha and other states of the eastern part of our country. Rt. Rev. Thomas thiruthalil c.m the first bishop of Balasore diocese extended his whole-hearted support and guidance from 1990 to 2014 and even today his prayers and blessing are a leading source of strength for our province.

Late Rt.Rev.Simon kaipuram c.m always had a soft corner for SABS of Dibya Jyoti province .with his paternal care and love, within a short period of time he did his best to assist us in whichever way he could. We pray that may his soul enjoy the heavenly bliss along with Angels and saints. No less significant is the prayerful support we experience from our elderly sisters both past and present.

Today with a wide variety of apostolic involvement we become one with the people to make the compassionate heart of Eucharistic JESUS far and near through humanitarian works of love. Thus to fulfill the vision of our founder Venerable Thomas Kurialacherry and Co foundress The servant of God, Mother Mary Chantal.
